Carmelite Authors 101 Lecture Series to be offered in Boston

The Institute of Carmelite Studies will continue its lecture series entitled "Carmelite Authors 101." Co-sponsored this year by the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry, the lectures will be held at different locations on the Boston College campus in Chestnut Hill, MA.  The series aims to provide a sound introduction to the person and writings of the most prominent authors of Carmel, including Thérèse of Lisieux, Edith Stein, Teresa of Ávila, John of the Cross, Elizabeth of the Trinity, and Lawrence of the Resurrection. The series was well received last year where it was presented at our Lincoln Rd. monastery in Washington, DC.  It will again be repeated during 2011 at St. Florian Church, which is staffed by our friars in West Milwaukee, WI.  Those who are interested in attending the lectures at Boston College are asked to RSVP online.  For more information, please visit the Boston College Events Calendar, do a search for "Carmelite," and the scheduled lectures will appear with specifics regarding time, location, and an online RSVP.
